Our Mission

Opening its doors on August 19th, 2019, Cafe with Soul, a nonprofit restaurant located at 800 N. Easton Road in Doylestown, PA has brought a little bit of “SOUL” to the Central Bucks County PA community. Cafe with Soul serves ALL DAY Breakfast & Lunch and is dedicated to transforming the lives of children, teens and young adults and has set about the task of creating opportunities for students by working closely with the Central Bucks community to offer resources in the form of financially supported programming and scholarships to promote Music and STEM education that will proactively drive inspirational, transformative and sustainable progress toward rewarding careers that improve the world.

Our Founder

Joel Zazyczny is an executive business leader, scientist, innovator, marketer and philanthropist with over 30 years of technical, commercial and operational experience in chemicals and industrial minerals. As a business executive he has built performance driven teams that led and drove revolutionary & evolutionary material science innovations, from inception to commercialization, to top and bottom line growth. He is a patented and published scientist who holds multiple patents, authored a chapter in the PVC Handbook of Chemistry, and has authored and co-authored technical papers, articles, brochures and websites.

Joel retired as the former EVP with Gelest, Inc. (New Mountain Capital BOD & Director of Gelest Ltd.) a privately held global specialty chemical manufacturer of silicon & metal-organic materials serving high growth innovative markets, where Joel was responsible for managing and leading the global business operations. Preceding responsibilities included Division V.P. IMERYS Performance Minerals, V.P. Technology Delta Minerals, Technical Director Polar Minerals and Applications Development Technical Service Chemist Huls America, Inc.

Zazyczny is a graduate of Yale University School of Management (SOM), Cabrini University B.S., Chemistry, B.A., English & Communications, studied for a Masters in Chemistry, St. Joseph's University. He served on the Board of Trustees at Cabrini University for 6.5 years and was co-chair Cabrini University Capital Campaign (successful raise ended 2022), Board Member Bryn Mawr Hospital Foundation, Finance Council Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, and Executive Committee The Oscar Hammerstein Museum & Theatre Education Center.

Through his philanthropic endeavors, The Zazyczny Foundation has established Endowed Scholarships at Cabrini University, Villanova University and Yale University, along with financial support of Bryn Mawr Hospital Labor & Delivery Nurses Station, Behavioral Health Lobby, Our Lady of Guadelupe St. Francis Courtyard and St. Francis Mural, as well as many other initiatives to support Music, Stem Education and Leadership Initiatives throughout the world.
